First Aid, CPR & Stop the Bleed Classes in Vancouver, WA & Portland, OR

Adriel·Medic & certified first aid instructorVancouver, WA & Portland, OR

Most people own a first aid kit. Far fewer have ever practiced using what’s inside it under pressure. A few hours of hands-on training changes that, and it’s the difference between freezing and acting in the first few minutes after someone gets hurt, before help arrives.

I teach small, hands-on first aid classes for individuals, families, and groups in the Vancouver, Washington and Portland, Oregon area. If you’re interested, fill out the short form below and I’ll reply by email with upcoming dates and options for your group.

Classes I teach

CPR, AED & First Aid

The core skills everyone should have: recognizing an emergency, adult CPR, using an AED, choking, bleeding, burns, and the common injuries and illnesses you’re most likely to run into at home, at work, or out in public.

Stop the Bleed

A short, focused course on controlling life-threatening bleeding: applying direct pressure, packing a wound, and using a tourniquet correctly. Stop the Bleed is the national bleeding-control program of the American College of Surgeons, and it’s built for ordinary people with no medical background. If you’ve read my trauma kit comparison, this is where you practice using what’s inside one.

Wilderness First Aid

For hikers, campers, scout leaders, and anyone who spends time more than an hour from help. It covers patient assessment, improvised splinting, wound care, environmental emergencies like hypothermia and heat illness, and how to decide when to evacuate: skills that matter when an ambulance isn’t coming soon.
